Argentina & Chile – No Visa is required for US Citizens, Canadians or European Union passengers for Argentina, just a valid passport.

Argentina – To get to any of the Lodges in Argentina you will first need to travel to the main hub which is Buenos Aires (Ezeiza International Airport – EZE, Ministro Pistarini Airport). There are direct flights from Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York in the United States and many of the main cities in Europe also have direct flights (Madrid, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rome, etc.) Once you arrive in Ezeiza we recommend staying one night in Buenos Aires to get to know the city and to be able to catch your local flight to the Lodge you are going to. To get to the Lodges your flight will most likely depart from the Local Airport (Aeroparque – AEP, Jorge Newbery Airport). Please contact your trip coordinator so that they can recommend the best flights to take. Local airline in Argentina is Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Red Stag Chile – To reach the lodge, you will first fly into Santiago de Chile (SCL), which has daily direct flights from many U.S. and European cities. From Santiago, take a 1 hour 30 minute flight south to Osorno Airport (ZOS). Upon arrival, lodge staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you by road to the lodge—an approximately 1.5 hour drive through beautiful landscapes with views of the Andes Mountains.

For those seeking a faster option, helicopter transfers can also be arranged between Osorno and the ranch, taking just 20 minutes.

Yes, we usually have some loaner gear available, such as binoculars, hunting jackets, and other essentials. However, we always recommend bringing your own equipment, as hunting gear is very personal. In cases of missed or delayed luggage, we can provide certain items to ensure you’re ready to hunt

We will reach out to you a month prior to your arrival with an online form which works as our “registration form” requesting all the information needed from you. We want to learn a little bit about your preferences, dietary restrictions, medical conditions or any special request you may have. Flight info should also be included here.

  • Argentina – The Argentinian Peso varies a lot in terms of exchange rate and there are several rates. If you are planning on staying in Buenos Aires a few days prior or after your stay with us, you can exchange money to have cash in hand. Ask us or the concierge at your hotel about the current rate and a safe place to exchange dollars. Restaurants, hotels and big stores will take credit cards as payment, but taxis, smaller stores and street vendors (in street fairs) take only cash, they might take dollars but might not give you the best exchange rate. At our Lodges you can pay extras and tips with a credit card or cash (US dollars).
  • Chile – Similar to Argentina, if you will be staying in Santiago de Chile for a few days prior or after your trip you can exchange money to have some local currency, but many of the places you will visit will accept credit cards for payment. At the Lodge you can pay extras and tips with a credit card or cash (US dollars).
For all our locations a lodge representative will meet you upon your arrival to the local airport holding a sign with the Lodge name so that you can identify them easily. If you are delayed or miss your flight, please let us know.

If you are joining us at one of our Red Stag Patagonia lodges, you can easily enhance your hunting experience by combining it with other big game hunting opportunities or a stay at one of our premier bird hunting lodges. Whether you’re looking to hunt additional species or enjoy a diverse outdoor adventure, you can do so through David Denies Bird Hunting or Nervous Waters for world-class fishing. All three brands are owned and operated by The Kautapen Group, ensuring that your outdoor experience is fun, memorable, and productive.

The legal season for Red Stag in Patagonia runs from March 1 to May 31. At our ranches, however, we only hunt during the peak of the roar—approximately March 10 to April 10—when the experience is at its very best.
In most Argentine provinces, you must be 18 or older to obtain a hunting license. Younger hunters may participate if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Yes. You can bring your rifle into Argentina, and we’ll assist you with the process. For those who prefer to avoid the hassle of traveling internationally with firearms, we offer high-quality rental rifles at all our big game destinations. Archery equipment is not regulated and can be brought as regular baggage.

It depends on the location. All our Red Stag ranches have strong populations of Wild Boar. In Mendoza and Chile, we also offer Fallow Deer.

In Buenos Aires, hunters can pursue Blackbuck Antelope, Axis Deer, and Feral Hogs.

At our Corrientes program in Northeastern Argentina, we offer free-range hunts for large Axis Deer, Water Buffalo, Wild Boar, and Blackbuck as well.

We maintain a trophy fee list for each location. Most of our Red Deer hunts include one stag with no size limit, and the same applies to other species such as Axis Deer. For complete details regarding trophy export and shipping, please see our Trophy Export Procedure.
